Behind Calleys cakes
Hi I'm Calley I have two children and I've been baking for many years for friends and family.as a hobby. I've always worked in the food industry including 6 years in a bakery.
I possess a City and Guilds accredited Level 2 - Food safety and hygiene certificate for over 10 years with regular fresher training. I have full allergy training certification from the food standards agency and my kitchen has a 5 star food hygiene rating so you can be assured you are getting a top level of hygiene service.
I started making celebration cakes for my children as my youngest has an allergy to nuts and dairy and I couldn't find a suitable birthday cake for him. I progressed and soon ended making cakes for family and friends leaning with each cake and taking online classes and joining various cake forums.
I love experimenting with different edible mediums and always like to keep on trend with the latest products and designs the cake world has to offer. I follow some of the worlds leading sugar artists and have had the pleasure of meeting one or two! I have attended a few sugar classes with Alan Dunn, Carlos Lischetti and Paddi Clark!
I studied Art and school and have done a course in pottery, Ive always loved to create things by hand and find it very theraputic. Each cake I make I learn from and enjoy making every single part.
